Welcome to a brand new school year here at the Little Gate!We hope everyone had an enjoyable summer and is just as ready for the start of school as we are.Our teachers have been busy preparing your children’s classrooms and cannot wait to try out some new and innovative ideas they learned while attending a local Reggio Emilia conference and reading “PLAY” by Lisa Murphy this summer.
We are looking forward to seeing all of you during Orientation and our Back to School Play Date in Little Gate Park.These two activities give the children a chance to meet their new teachers, grab a sneak peak at their classrooms and get acquainted with their new classmates.Our orientation days are scheduled for August 19th and 20th.If you are not sure of your orientation date or time, please call school (523-9911) and we will provide you with the correct information.The Back to School Play Date is scheduled on August 21st from 10:00 to 11:30 in our Little Gate Park.We will notify you of any change of plans due to inclement weather.
Please note that Little Gate’s first days of School are August 23rd-August 26th.These are FULL days of school for those children who are full time students and there will be aftercare available.Again, if you are unsure of your child’s designated “first” day of school, do not hesitate to call school and find out.A big change to our calendar is that Parent’s Night is now TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 7th.We had a scheduling conflict with the Saints’ Season Opening game on the 9th – we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
